Fri 17th Feb 2012 Wemyss Malts New Single Cask Releases

Wemyss Malts is delighted to announce the release of their latest single cask malt whiskies.  Each cask is a celebration of the unique and contrasting appeals of the different Scotch whisky regions.  Wemyss whiskies are each identified by their natural taste and aroma and this latest range of four hogsheads comprises:

"Smokehouse"
- a 15 years old from Caol Ila Distillery, Islay

"The Malt Barn"
- a 14 years old from Bunnahabhain distillery, Islay

"Rum 'n' Raisin"
- a 22 years old from Tullibardine distillery, Highland

"Winter Spice"
- a cask strength 29 years old from Teaninich distillery, Highland

Each cask has been selected by the Wemyss tasting panel, under the watchful eye of industry aficionado Charlie Maclean.  The recommended retail prices range from £55 to £110 and these casks will be available in selected retailers in the UK, EU and key Asian markets.

Susan Colville, Regional Sales Manager for Wemyss Malts, commented: "I'm looking forward to selling this latest bottling. It's the first time we've bottled casks from Tullibardine and Teaninich distilleries.  As with our most recent bottling, this release has the name of the distillery on the front labels, as well as our regular helpful bottling names based on the aromas and tastes found in each whisky."
